Happy International Tiger Day...


There are nearly 3,900 tigers globally,India is the largest number of tigers about 3,000 or we can say 85% of tiger population can be found in India.

There are seven subspecies of tigers in the world,

  1. The Bengal Tiger

  2. Amur Tiger

  3. South China Tiger

  4. Sumatran Tiger

  5. Indochinese Tiger

  6. Malayan Tiger

  7. Siberian Tiger

Tiger is the national animal of ndia.We can proudly say that "India is the Land of Tigers".There are about 85% world tiger population can found in India.


Tiger Reserves of India:-

There are about 40+ tiger reserves in India which is governed by Project Tiger(April 1973) which is administrated by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).


Population:-

In the year 2018 there were 2,967 Bengal Tigers lives in India,there are 30% of increases reported by 2014(2,226 population).As per NTCA Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka have the highest number of tigers lives in 526 and 524 respectively.

Other states like have significant populations including Uttarakhand-442, Tamil Nadu-229, Maharashtra-190, Assam-167, Kerala-136 and Uttar Pradesh-117.
