Ranthambore National Park,Rajasthan

Ranthambore national Park is situated in Sawai Madhopur,Rajasthan,India. It covers about 282 sq km, when it's formed.It was established in 1955 by the government of India and it's one of the Project Tiger reserve which was declared in 1973.


Ranthambore declared national park in 1980.In 1992 reserve it joined with Kaladevi Sanctuary and Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary. In totally it covers about 1334 sq km.


This reserve is known for it's Bengal Tigers.They can be easily spot although their population is increasing day by day.You can visit the park in November to May,this is the best time to visit the park.


Reserve includes other animals like Leopard,Blue Bull(NilGai),Hyena,Wild Boar,Sambar,Sloth Bear,Grey langurs,Crocodiles,Chital and many more.It also have variety of reptile species there.


As per 2014 census there were 62 tigers in the reserve.By the year 2020 their population is increasing day by day.
